Competition for NEET entrance examination is getting stiffer as each year passes by, last year (2018) close to 13.2 lakh students appeared for NEET exam as opposed to the 11.4 lakh the year before. NEET Previous Year Question Paper: 2018 Analysis

  • NEET 2018 was said to be comparatively moderate in terms of difficulty. Around 170 questions were based on NCERT and only 10 questions were found tricky
  • There were 24 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 21 questions from the 11th standard syllabus
  • Rated in terms of difficulty: (1) Physics, (2) Chemistry, (3) Biology
  • Topics commonly asked in Physics: Mechanics and Electrostatics
  • Topics commonly asked in Biology:  There was no single unit or topic from which more than 6 questions were asked. Hence it would be wrong to deem any one single chapter most important as all are important
  • Topics commonly asked in Chemistry: Organic Chemistry, Reactions
