IBPS PO Recruitment Notification 2018 Out for 4102 Vacancies

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO Recruitment Notification 2018. There are 4102 vacancies this year, that will be filled through the IBPS Probationary Officer Exam 2018.

Note: You can claim Age Relaxation only under one category. Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be made available.

Educational Qualification (As on 5.09.2018)

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government OR
  • Students in Final Year/Semester of their Graduation can not apply for IBPS PO Recruitment 2018 as they have to indicate the percentage of marks obtained while registering online & must possess the mark-sheet/degree certificate on the day of registration.

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern

The selection procedure of IBPS PO Recruitment consists of 3 phases:

    • Prelims
    • Mains
    • Interview

The IBPS PO will now have Sectional Timings in the Prelims.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2018 – Prelims  (Phase I)

Note: There will be negative marking of 1/4th or 0.25 of the marks assigned to each objective question. If a question is left un-attempted, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no negative marking for that question.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2018 – Mains (Phase II)

This year IBPS has increased the difficulty level of Mains 2018 Exam. It has made the exam pattern similar to the SBI PO Mains 2018 Exam. So it is very important to know the exam pattern well.

The IBPS PO Mains 2018 will be consist of 2 parts

  • Objective Test (200 marks)
  • Descriptive Test (50 marks)

IBPS PO Mains – Objective Test

IBPS PO Mains  – Descriptive Test

The descriptive paper will be of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks assigned to the test of English Language. The test will consist of Letter Writing & Essay. Candidate will have to score minimum passing marks which will be decided by the corresponding banks to qualify the exam.

Note: The Descriptive Test paper of a candidate will be evaluated only if they score qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2018 – Interview (Phase III)

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. in interview will not be less than;

  • Minimum qualifying marks in Interview- 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates)
  • Minimum qualifying marks- 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination and Interview.

Note: A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.

  2. Enter all your necessary details.
  3. Upload your relevant documents.
  4. Submit the Application Form.
  5. Application fee can be paid online using Debit Card/ Credit Card/Internet Banking/Cash Cards/Wallets etc.

Instructions:

  • Use valid email ID which should be kept active till the declaration of results.
  • Keep a scanned photograph and signature ready as per requirements mentioned in the notification.
