About Bhavish Aggarwal & Ola Cabs
Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO & Co-founder of Ola Cabs was like any other success-driven entrepreneur. He started his entrepreneurial journey at a very early age. Soon after he completed his Bachelors in Technology (Computer Science and Engineering) from IIT – B in 2008, he started his career with Microsoft Research India as an Assistant Researcher. After more than 2 years into the job, Bhavish took the biggest decision of his life entering into an entrepreneurial venture and the rest, as they say, is history.
For those who are not familiar with Ola Cabs, they are like any other marketplace online, but their focus is on providing Taxi services. Ola started as an online cab aggregator in Mumbai and their business now resides in Bangalore. At its current valuation of $4 billion, Ola is the third-most valuable start-up in the country.
On the show, Bhavish looked back at his exam preparation days for JEE which he aced with an AIR-23 and spoke of how he had a first-hand experience in finding a good quality cab service in our country which later translated into a billion-dollar business entity it is today – Ola Cabs.
